MyroDim was born out of a deep conviction that every person has the right to a full life. And also an ambitious dream to give this life to those who are doomed to spend it in a boarding school. This dream appeared to a group of volunteers, among whom there were:
Oleksandr Skrypak
Pastor of the Evangelical Christian Church “Almaz”
Ideological inspirer, founder, and board member of the NGO “Myrodim”.
Oleksandr Megel
A big heart that always had a place for orphans and children with disabilities
Founder and first chairman of the NGO “Myrodim”
He was killed during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Yaroslav and Nadia Lisnichenko
Dreamers who move mountains with their faith and perseverance
Founders and members of the board of the NGO “Myrodim”.
Alla Megel
Heiress and guardian of the “Myrodim” house of supported living for orphans with disabilities.
Natalia Matsarska
Experienced manager, tireless generator of ideas, co-founder of NGO “Myrodim”.
The desire to create a family-type house for orphans with disabilities was born after another volunteer trip to a boarding school. And the shocking understanding that most of its residents, upon reaching adulthood, will lose the opportunity to be adopted and will be transferred to a psycho-neurological boarding school or a nursing home. Thus, forever losing the opportunity to be a part of society and a loving family.
Myrodim aims to create an alternative for orphans with disabilities who have reached adulthood and offer them an opportunity to live in their own homes, develop, acquire a profession, create families, and integrate into society, becoming a full part of it.
Myrodim is designed to become a real home for them, where they can:
- Undergo physical rehabilitation to expand your capabilities;
- Socialize to become full members of society;
- Realize their talents, because many orphans are gifted and talented individuals;
- Acquire skills that will allow them to live an independent life to the best of their abilities and provide for themselves financially;
- Create families.
It is not just a shelter for people with physical disabilities, but a place that will allow orphans with disabilities and a place that will allow orphans with disabilities to live a full life at the maximum of their capabilities.
